About PMPA 2025

The Malaysia Space Law Moot Court Competition (PMPA 2025) will take place on 5–7 December 2025 at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) through its Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU). The competition is organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) through its Space Regulatory Division, in collaboration with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and with Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM) as the Strategic Implementation Partner. This competition is open to all public and private institutions of higher learning (IPTA and IPTS) in Malaysia that offer law programmes.


Our Vision & Objectives
Promoting the substance and significance of the Malaysian Space Board Act 2022 [Act 834], including issues related to international space law.
Providing participants with the opportunity to study and apply the Malaysian Space Board Act 2022 [Act 834] and the United Nations (UN) space treaties in resolving the given space law issues.
To produce and subsequently train the future space legal practitioners so that they are able to adapt and be competent in handling contemporary space law proceedings involving current space-related issues.
To provide a platform where participants, law students, space regulators, and space industry players can exchange views on space law and its interrelation with the space industry and aerospace technology
